Under the auspices of the turning clock we write Greeting from Fakahatchee Resident Volunteers. As maintenance hosts we are regularly assigned with tasks having to do with painting and carpentry in which we specialize. So when along comes the task of painting the Visitor's Center inner back rooms, we jumped at the opportunity to do a first-rate job of it. My there was a lot of stuff accumulated in the corners but through careful strokes where able to move around it all to paint the inner walls with new color, a two-tone pattern picked by the Park Manager, Renee in order to give some life to this useful park space.We're pleased to announce that we have gotten through the major shift of it. Hopefully you'll like what you see when you come visit. We're also starting work on the exterior of the Visitor's Center building. With any luck we will replace the exterior siding with new siding in the coming weeks. Looking forward to seeing you around the park and compound.
